Hon Milton Dick MP receives Flag Day Award
Each year on Australian National Flag Day, the Australian National Flag Association (Qld) announces an award to recognise the person or organisation doing the most to promote our chief national symbol.
We are delighted to announce that the winner of this year’s Flag Day Award is the Hon Milton Dick MP, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
This honour is well deserved as not only has Mr Dick established a great tradition with the Flag Day event in the Great Hall, but his recent announcement of the “Parliament House Flag Roadshow” is also a wonderful initiative!
We really appreciate his strong support for our national flag, and wanted to acknowledge that in this way.
